Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography Why am I a Wedding Photographer?I’ve been a wedding photographer since just after I got married in 2007. For over 10 years I’ve been capturing people’s big days and having an amazing time in the process. I’ve established myself and I’ve even managed to win a few awards along the way. To be honest I never thought I’d become a Brisbane Wedding Photographer. I always thought I’d end up being a singer. Before I picked up a camera, music was my idea of the ultimate form of creativity. I loved the fact that I could sing and put a smile on people’s faces. However, the day I photographed a wedding was the day I experienced the joy of creating something that two people could treasure for the rest of their lives. Photography is so personal and the rewards I get from that are indescribable! The day I discovered this was the same day giving up the dream of becoming a rockstar became a piece of wedding cake! When I initially made the choice to focus on photography (pardon the pun) more so than my music, a lot of people told me I was stupid and that I was making a huge mistake – a lot of people! Now days though, I think they understand why I made that choice. I think they can now see that I’m truly happy being a wedding photographer. I think they can appreciate that there’s great value in having a job that brings joy to others as well! It’s that very reason that I can’t possibly regret how things have turned out. How can I regret my decision when I get to meet people like Ross and Rachelle? I know I thank people a lot, but my gratitude never ceases, so neither should my need to express it I want to take this opportunity to thank Ross and Rachelle for booking me and for trusting me with their incredibly special day! I’d like to share some images from their wedding. Ross and Rachelle are amazing people and are the perfect example of why I wouldn’t ever want another job! I can’t help but smile every time I think of their wedding! Why am I a Wedding Photographer? via Tumblr Why am I a Wedding Photographer?

Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography Weddings in BrisbaneI’ve photographed a lot of events in the country over the years, but lately I’ve been back in Brisbane a lot more, and I’m loving it! Brisbane is where I grew up and it’s the place I have the most memories. When I get asked to help couples create more of their own memories here I can’t wait to pick up my camera. There’s something really special about this place and I feel so grateful to be the one to capture all those moments that look so great against a Brissy background. Last week I had the honour of photographing Kate and Alex’ amazing wedding at Riverlife, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane. The star of the day was joy! Even though the weather really put on a show and the skies were amazing, what I’ll remember most about the wedding was just how happy everyone was. I wanted to share just a couple of images with you from the day. Of course once I’ve completed processing all the images and sent them to Kate and Alex I’ll be sure to share more with all of you. via Tumblr Back in Brisbane Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography Gold Coast Wedding PhotographyI’ve always loved the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales (Fingal, Byron Bay and Murwillumbah). Northern NSW and Gold Coast Wedding Photography inspires me because every time I’m there I get a rush of nostalgia. If I don’t retire in Maleny, it’ll definitely be in the Gold Coast or Northern NSW Hinterland because it feels like home to me. There’s something unique about Byron Bay and Gold Coast Wedding Photography. After all, there’s really no where else like it. Perhaps it’s all those wonderful negative ions blowing in from the ocean? // jQuery('#ftg-66 img.item').removeAttr('src');jQuery(document).ready(function () {setTimeout(function () {jQuery('#ftg-66').finalTilesGallery({minTileWidth: 250,margin: 10,loadMethod: 'sequential',nonce: '72a68f0a52',galleryId: '6',setupFilters: true, layout: 'columns',debug: false, gridSize: 25,disableGridSizeBelow: 800,allowEnlargement: true, columns: [[4000, 3],[1024, 3],[800, 2],[480, 3],[320, 2]],selectedFilter: 'n-a'});jQuery(function () {(function () {var rel = '';jQuery('#ftg-66 .ftg-lightbox').click(function (e) {rel = jQuery(this).attr('rel');jQuery('#ftg-66 .ftg-current').removeClass('ftg-current');jQuery('#ftg-66 [rel="'+rel+'"]').addClass('ftg-current');});})();});}, 0);}); //Gold Coast Wedding Photography via Tumblr Gold Coast Wedding Photography Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography “Hi Susan and Pao,

Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography Jaclyn and Ben were well and truly blessed on their Sunshine Coast wedding day.All morning the weather was miserable. The beautiful views that are usually visible from the balcony of the Montville Lake Terrace were non-existent. There was nothing to see but grey. It was the kind of weather that often disappoints brides and grooms, but not Jaclyn and Ben! They had their minds set on enjoying their wedding day no matter what happened. All through the ceremony it was raining outside, but inside there was love and laughter! Then just as Jaclyn and Ben were announced husband and wife the rain stopped. Everyone mingled outside for a while, while I ran up to the reception to capture images of the beautiful room. The whole time I kept thinking, “Please don’t rain yet!” I managed to capture all the family and friends photos outside. Still no rain. All the guests got up to the balcony just in time! Then it started to pour again. The bridal part and I went back to the chapel and captured images inside, all while the guests enjoyed canapés upstairs. I said to Jaclyn, “I’m happy to come back on another day and reshoot the location images if you’d rather stay here in the chapel”. As soon as we got to the first location the rain stopped again! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Then at One Tree Hill the rain still hadn’t fallen. Somehow Jaclyn’s determination to create those photos no matter what kept the rain away. I know that sounds silly to say, but it sure felt like it at the time. Jaclyn’s resolve seem to have worked. In the meantime here’s a sneaky peak! I’ve accepted a lot more wedding photography bookings for Brisbane areas this year and I can’t wait to get started. Brisbane Weddings in 2019 via Tumblr Brisbane Weddings in 2019 Brisbane Wedding Photographer - Tom Hall Photography Amazing Maleny WeddingLauren and Jackson had an amazing Maleny wedding which I still can’t stop thinking about. Their day was magic! There’s no other way to describe it. I’ve often said that a perfect wedding isn’t possible, but this came pretty close. I can’t stop thinking about their joy! Lauren and Jackson were so happy! They loved every minute of every hour of their incredible day. Their infectious happiness left me completely in awe of what they share! Not only were they a pleasure to be around, but their bridal party, family, and guests were all so darn delightful! I have been the photographer at a lot of seriously happy weddings, but I must admit the level of joy I saw at this wedding was something I really wasn’t prepared for. I’m so happy for Jackson and Lauren. They’ll always have incredible memories of their amazing Maleny wedding. For life they’ll get to think back on their wedding day and know that they squeezed every bit of awesome out of every minute that passed!
